Professor Hy Brown - CEO and Managing Director

The management group is headed by Professor Chaim Brown.  Professor Brown has built his international reputation in the construction industry serving as Vice President of Tishman Realty and Construction Company in charge of pre-construction, finance and development.  In addition, he served as the principle engineer for such projects as the World Trade Center in New York City, the Sears Tower in Chicago, Florida's Disneyworld, the University of Judaism in Los Angeles, and Temple Aliyah in Woodland Hills, California.  He also owned and developed his own properties including hotels in Seattle and office buildings throughout the United States.  From 1989-1991, Professor Brown represented Security Pacific Bank in the workout of over $6 billion of distressed property such as the Orlando (Florida) Twin Towers Hotel.  Throughout his career, he has served as a member of the Board of Directors of various corporations. 

From 1995-2008, Professor Brown served on the faculty of the University of Colorado (Boulder, Colorado, USA), Department of Civil, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering teaching courses in engineering, construction, accounting and finance, and legal issues and contracts.  He is currently a member of the faculty at Israel's Ariel University Center of Samaria.  His academic background includes engineering degrees from the City College of New York, and ABD/MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles.  Professor Brown brings to the company many years of experience as a researcher and lecturer from his academic career, and decades of industry experience in construction engineering and as a corporate officer of a New York Stock Exchange company.

Professor Michael Brandemuehl, PhD, PE - Vice-President of Research

Professor Michael Brandemuehl brings to the management group over 30 years experience in the development of energy-efficient, renewable energy technologies in buildings.  His credentials include graduate degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin Solar Energy Laboratory.  His industry experience includes the development and analysis of advanced heating and cooling systems as a research engineer for United Technologies Carrier.  As a professor at the University of Colorado (Boulder, Colorado, USA), his research has included optimal sustainable building design, intelligent building controls, low-cost solar water heating systems, building-integrated photovoltaic technologies, and heat collection in concentrating solar power plants.

Shaul Amir - Vice-President of Development

Shaul Amir was born in Israel and has numerous contacts and friends among the diverse communities throughout the country, particularly the population of the Negev.  As a young person, while his father was the Military Governor of the Negev, he made life-long friends and remained in contact with the issues, the infrastructure, and the people of the Negev.  He served as Director of the Israel National and Overseas Center of the Allied Jewish Federation of Colorado (USA).  His experience also includes his position as Executive Director of Resource Development for the third largest government medical center in Israel, Assaf Harofeh Medical Center.  Mr. Amir was awarded a special commendation by the Colorado State Senate as token of appreciation for his contribution in strengthening the ties between Israel and the State of Colorado.

Nancy Brown - Chief Administrative Office

Nancy Brown brings a variety of corporate management experience in the public, private, and non-profit sectors including day-to-day operations, zero-based budgeting, development, allocation, and reconciliation, human resources, personnel counseling and mentoring, and advertising and marketing.  Her industry experience includes United Airlines, Character Time, and the University of Colorado's (Boulder, Colorado, USA) National History Day.  Ms. Brown has taught classes on various aspects of the Holocaust at the University of Denver's Holocaust Awareness Institute, the University of Colorado at Boulder, Pepperdine University, Hebrew High School (Boulder, Colorado), and Yad Vashem International School of Holocaust Studies.  Her academic background includes advanced degrees from Pepperdine University and ABD from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Ronald M. Braun, D.M.D. - Investor Relations

In 1988 while living in New York State, Dr. Braun gave up his successful dental practice in order to devote more time to his growing real estate investments. His real estate specialty has been single family homes with an emphasis on building some of the first manufactured modular houses for investment in the North East United States. During that same time, he was also the driving force behind establishing a new Reform Temple which has now grown to more than a thousand families. Ron and the REAL Housing team are united in their vision for REAL Housing, Inc. and its world-wide potential.
