Building Integrated Solar System
Traditional solar energy systems are mounted on top of the roof. In our designs, the solar energy systems are part of the roof. Rather than mounting the solar panels on a steel rack attached to the roof, we have integrated the panels into the roofing system. This approach is not only more attractive, it saves the cost of the original roofing.
We have also taken the innovative approach to integrate the solar hot water system with the solar PV system by installing the solar water heating panels under the PV panels. Heat generated by the sun shining on the PV panels is transferred to the water flowing in the solar thermal panels.
Such integration may be risky with conventional site-built construction, with separate subcontractors for electrical, plumbing, and construction systems . However, by installing the systems in our factory, we achieve the potential of integration while eliminating the risks.
